Coral, Turquoise and Woolly Mammoth Ivory Bracelet
Coral, Turquoise and Woolly Mammoth Ivory Bracelet
I love the combination of colors on this bracelet. Contrasting, but somehow easing to the eye. The history of these lovely beads are quite remarkable. Starting with the turquoise, this piece is from Tibet and was worn 100's of years ago for ceremony. The white beads are Hawaiian puka shells I found on Kauai. The tan colored bead is a genuine piece of woolly mammoth ivory from a melting glacier in Alaska. The coral was farmed in the Mediterranean, and a lovely freshwater pearl. They are hand wire wrapped on sterling silver, and have a secure oval spring loaded closure. This rugged, but lovely bracelet is made to be worn. I wear mine always!
